Steve Luker, ex-TSS member and former women's squad coach who relocated to Sydney in 2005, has been appointed head coach at St George Rowing Club in Sydney - the club of former captain Rod Chisholm, who is seeking selection to the Australian squad for Beijing.
Steve replaces another old member, Ron Batt, who has taken up a coaching position at the Tasmanian Institute of Sport.
