Final Trials

Although it is almost becoming expected, Alan Campbell delivered by once again dominating the men's singles at GB final trials in Hazewinkel. His nearest rival was Stephen Rowbotham, 2006 world bronze medallist in men's doubles, seven seconds behind.

It was a fantastic result from Alasdair Leighton-Crawford: he was solid in every race, and then third in the final of men's lightweight singles, beating half of last year's world-champion lightweight four.

Elaine Johnstone rose to the occasion at her first GB Rowing senior 2k trials, finishing fifth in the time trial, holding Jane Hall to only a length in the semi-final and then winning the B final by a comfortable margin to place fifth overall. TCG
