A small group of juniors raced at Kingston Regatta at the start of the summer holidays.
The club had three crews in the WJ13 2x event, which led to an all-TSS final, won by Rachel and Thea H-B in a close race over Mimi and Phoebe. Cat and Isabel were unlucky to go out to a strong Calpe crew in the first round.
The J13 girls’ quad – Mimi, Thea H-B, Rachel and Phoebe, coxed by Otto – were racing up a year and did well to come second out of three in their heat. Although this meant they were knocked out, the crew that beat them went on to win.
Jenny and Jess won their first haet in the WJ14 2x, but lost in a tough semi-final. The start of their doubles race having been delayed by half an hour, the girls then had to jump straight into their singles. They raced well, but both went out in the first round.
