World Cup III, Lucerne

Three club members were in the first British team ever to win the FISA World Cup.

The highlight of Sunday’s racing was undoubtedly the men’s single sculls, which saw Alan Campbell take the silver medal – just 0.29 seconds behind Mahe Drysdale.

Tash Howard turned in an excellent performance in the women’s pairs, finishing fourth in the A final with new partner Natasha Page.

Alasdair Leighton-Crawford came eighteenth overall in the men’s lightweight single, while former club member Tim Colson, representing Canada, was ninth overall.

Rod Chisholm, rowing for Australia in the lightweight men’s four, was fifth in the A final. Nora Fiechter raced the heavyweight women’s single for Switzerland and finished fifteenth overall.
