Head of the Charles

Bill Barry has again gathered the Olympic finalists in the men's single scull to race in a TSS eight at the Head of the Charles in Boston.

The only omission from the London finalists is silver medallist Ondrej Synek, who has elected to stay at home following the birth of his second son a couple of months ago. Ondrej's place will be taken by Glenn Ochal, who won a bronze medal for the United States in the men's four. The other newcomer is Aleksandar Aleksandrov of Azerbaijan, who will also be racing with Alan Campbell in the Pairs Head.

Three further members of the 2009 Great Eight are returning to the crew: Boston-based cox Ali Williams; Iztok Cop, who won bronze in the double at London; and Norway's Olaf Tufte, who finished ninth in the single at the Olympics.
