Bernie Thompson
The 2012 Bernie Thompson Challenge Sculls was held on Saturday 22nd September, as the traditional start to the TSS season, with sixty-nine boats racing from TSS to Beverley Brook and back.
Alasdair Leighton-Crawford was the fastest sculler overall, but the trophy - awarded to the fastest non-elite sculler, as Bernie Thompson was Senior 1 when he died - went to Luke Moon.
This year, pennants were also awarded by category for single sculls. Claire McIntosh was fastest woman overall, while the fastest junior man and woman were Ollie and Ellie. Julian Rodd won the veteran men's pennant, with the veteran women's prize going to Katherine Hickmott.
