Junior Worlds

A number of TSS members were part of the corps of volunteers at the recent World Rowing Junior Championships at Dorney Lake, an event at which many of the systems for the 2012 Olympics were being tested.

Dr Richard Budgett worked on the medical team, while Chris Harris enjoyed driving a 90-horsepower RIB safety boat. Claire McIntosh, who serves as a British Rowing multi-lane umpire, was a designated National Technical Officer on finish timing. Eddie Beckett worked in spectator services, and Zoe Gullen assisted in the media centre, along with Ian Robinson.

Phil Rowley was also at Dorney, with Filippi and in a coaching and support role with the Argentinian team, while Freddy Foks was a roving reporter for Regatta Radio.

Finally, long-time club member Anastasia Chitty was in action on the water, winning a silver medal in the Great Britain women's coxless four.
