The Alec Hodges Sculling Courses
Tideway Scullers School runs two courses each year, one at Easter and one in the summer.
EASTER SCULLING COURSE - Booking now open
5th to 9th April 2010 - 9am to 4pm each day
Open to athletes of any sculling ability, adult and junior. Course fee £200

The course is for anyone who wants to improve their sculling ability – from new beginners to confident scullers. The students will be a mixture of juniors (age 11–17) and adults who will work together with their coaches in singles and crew boats. The course is for approximately 40 students, about half adult, half junior.
The course will include:

Individual and crew coaching
- Setting and reviewing individual objectives
- Video analysis
- Stretching for rowing
- Boats, blades and coaching launches
- Ergo work including tests
- Safety advice
- Tideway navigation and regulations
- Racing on the final day.
